Calling all Porty Pirates: Join us for a treasure hunt to find Pirate Mycle’s lost treasure!
Choose from two:
- a bike treasure hunt along a well-known bike route from Porty, OR
- the shorter treasure hunt on foot along Porty high street.
We have some cargo bikes you can hire if you like for the cycle treasure hunt, or come with your own bikes. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult and be aware that the bike treasure hunt will be partly on roads so cyclists need to be road competent to take part safely.
If you want to hire a cargo bike, please contact us ahead of time on [email protected] and we can save a bike for you and arrange the time you’ll pick it up.
Dressing up is optional – but there will be a prize for best costume! Come and collect your pirate map and instructions from our bike library on the Prom.
The treasure hunt will run all day. There will be a small prize for each entrant.
Porty Bike Library on the Prom is celebrating two years as the go-to place to hire out cargo and electric bikes, and for active travel advice in Portobello. We’re run by a fantastic team of volunteer librarians as well as four staff coordinators.
