Tour: Newhailes Uncovered

Newhailes House was built in 1702 and was the family home of the Dalrymples for nearly 300 years. The house is packed with historic furniture, art, and objects that we carefully care for throughout the year. Explore the house with an expert guide, visiting rooms that are usually closed to visitors, and uncover the secrets of Newhailes.

This tour provides an overview of the house, the family, and how the Trust cares for and preserves this amazing place.

Please note – due to conservation work, some areas of the house are closed. This tour does not follow the normal tour route, and includes several flights of stairs and may not be suitable for all visitors.
