A creative workshop, where you will learn the art of wire wrapping to make your very own sea glass jewellery.

What you will make: By the end of the workshop you’ll get to take away two unique piece jewellery. You’ll be shown how to make either a pendant necklace or a pair of beautiful earrings.

These can be worn straight away or given as a gift. Within the workshop you will learn the technique of wire wrapping, you’ll have a choice of colour wire to wrap your chosen sea glass or pottery and the be taught how to assemble your jewellery.

For the necklaces you will have a choice of colour cord to hang the pendant and when making the earrings you will have a choice sterling-silver or gold-filled ear wires.

All the equipment is provided, just bring yourself and your own sea glass/pottery if you would like to:)

No experience necessary. Suitable for age 12+ (younger children can take part but must be accompanied by an adult)

Your Host

Caroline from Joy Revival Design lives in Portobello and collects sea glass/pottery from beaches all over East Lothian and Scotland and then turn these into unique pieces of jewellery from her seaside garden studio. Her focus is to create sustainably driven homeware and accessories, making fabric and sea glass jewellery, eco-lampshades, handbags and reupholstering furniture. She runs a variety of other workshops with the same ethos including eco-lampshades and seasonal door wreaths.
