Join Heritage Guides for a walk into the history of Portobello. From the areas ancient past and humble origins as a moorland where smugglers once roamed, to the community’s 2019 crown of the UKs best neighbourhood to live.
This walk will involve walking outside, on pavement and crossing roads at pedestrian crossings. Please dress appropriately for the weather and terrain.
This 60 minute walk will take you on a journey through 400 years of local history, visiting the beautiful Portobello Town Hall, Art Deco George Cinema and iconic Promenade on the River Forth, with many more included. Ticket price includes a cuppa courtesy of Seb’s Urban Jungle where our guides will be delighted to escort you at the end of your tour.
