DESCRIPTION:One of Scotland’s most exciting and influential bands will he
 adline the Saturday evening stage at Porty Festival next summer\, with tic
 kets for the gig on sale now.\n\nKnown for their bold fusion of traditiona
 l and contemporary influences\, Mànran will take to the stage at Portobel
 lo Town Hall on Saturday 2nd May 2026\, promising a high-energy performanc
 e with their distinctive sound which has captivated audiences worldwide.\n
 \nThe seven-piece band seamlessly combines English and Gaelic songs\, with
  a dynamic mix of bagpipes\, fiddle\, accordion\, whistle\, and flute laye
 red with guitars\, drums\, and bass - Mànran creates music that is deeply
  rooted in tradition yet constantly evolving. Their original compositions\
 , crafted with skill and expertise\, showcase the band’s ability to push
  musical boundaries while staying true to their heritage.\n\nAfter a sell-
 out gig at this year’s Fringe By The Sea\, Mànran will bring their awar
 d-winning music to Portobello Town Hall as part of the second annual Porty
  Festival. The full programme is yet to be announced\, but is expected to 
 include everything from a Makers’ Market and vintage clothing pop-up to 
 a Dip &amp\; Sip (wild swimming and cocktails)\, a Cinnamon Bun Run and a 
 fiercely-contested dog show.\n\nPorty Festival founders Carmen Chalmers &a
 mp\; Sebastiaan Flurchard said\,\n“We’re absolutely thrilled to have s
 ecured Mànran as our Saturday night headliners - with performances in ove
 r 30 countries\, Mànran has built a loyal global following alongside coun
 tless fans here in Scotland. We’ll be announcing the rest of our lineup 
 in the new year but are expecting tickets for the Mànran gig to sell quic
 kly! The festival is all about celebrating music\, art\, community and sea
 side spirit and we think it’s going to be another unforgettable weekend.
 ”\n\nThis year’s festival takes place at four locations across Portobe
 llo\, including the town’s sandy beach. A celebration of the coastal tow
 n just outside Edinburgh\, the 3-day festival features something for every
