SUMMARY:Katee Robert - The Tarot Trials
DESCRIPTION:We're delighted to be hosting this special online-only event wi
th Katee Robert to celebrate their brand new book\, The Tarot Trials . Fro
m the New York Times bestselling author of the Dark Olympus series\, this
high-octane\, fast-paced epic fantasy of tarot magic and deadly competitio
n launches an explosive new series.\n\nJoin us online via Crowdcast for a
discussion about the book and the chance to ask questions via the chat!\n\
nThe event will run from 7-8pm GMT\, with time for audience questions towa
rds the end of the event.\n\nKestrel has trained to compete in the Tarot T
rials her entire life. Winning means becoming one of the five Cinque – a
position of influence and power that could reshape the lives of people in
  her hometown slum\, the Dregs.\n\nTwenty-two years ago\, Kestrel’s moth
er should have become a Cinque. She won the Trials as the Champion of the
Moon. Instead\, she was executed for treason after allegedly attacking the
Minor Court. Determined to find out the truth\, Kestrel joins the trials
as the Moon’s new champion. Though enemies abound\, she soon strikes som
e unlikely alliances: the coy and unnaturally lucky Wheel of Fortune\, Ves
per and the arrogant powerhouse Sun\, Cato. She’s equally drawn to the m
ysterious and brooding Tower — whose alliance with Death\, the man who k
illed Kestrel’s mother years ago\, may lead to the answers she seeks. Bu
t\, in the Trials\, betrayal is a question of 'when'\, not 'if'. Kestrel w
ill come to learn that winning the game isn’t about what she must do to
win\, but who she needs to survive.
