DESCRIPTION:Join us at our Book Club\, led by one of our friendly bookselle
 rs! We'll be hosting a monthly discussion in the bookshop on a specially c
 hosen title\, complete with a complimentary beverage for all attendees.\n\
 nOur Fiction Book Club aims to highlight some of the most intriguing and c
 ompelling reads on our general fiction shelves\, whether we're (re)discove
 ring classics or diving into fresh contemporary novels. With such a broad 
 range of subjects and perspectives\, we hope there'll be something for eve
 ryone to enjoy... perhaps a new favourite book awaits.\n\nPlease note that
  book clubs will usually take place on the first Tuesday of the month.\n\n
 At the bottom of a great stone staircase\, dressed in her mother's black l
 ace evening dress\, twisted in murderous death\, lies Janet. So end the si
 xteen years of Janet's short life. A life spent in a draughty Scottish cas
 tle\, where roses will not grow\, and a jackdaw decides to live in the dol
 l's house. A life peopled by prettier\, smoother-haired siblings\, a Nanny
  with a face like the North Sea and the peculiar\, whisky-swigging Cousin 
 Lila. A life where Janet is perpetually misunderstood - and must turn from
  people\, to animals\, to books\, to her own wild and wonderful imaginatio
