DESCRIPTION:Join us this year for a public reading of this great classic in
  the atmospheric surroundings of Newhailes House dining room.Oscar Wilde's
  brilliant short story The Canterville Ghost was first published in 1887\,
  and has been hugely popular every since. The Otis family move to England 
 and into an old mansion house\, Canterville Chase\, despite warnings from 
 the owner that the house is haunted. Almost straight away strange events b
 egin to occur\, and Virginia\, the eldest Otis daughter comes face to face
  with the ghost of Sir Simon de Canterville\, a nobleman suspected of kill
 ing his wife several hundred years ago. Follow the Otis family and Sir Sim
 on de Canterville in this humorous short tale.Light refreshments included 
 in the ticket price.Age 10 +
